Dramatic scenes in Virtual World Championship

Kazan has delivered an epic race

What a race!

The Kazan round of the Virtual World Championship was as exciting as the real thing, and the race was won by a star flying over home soil.

Gamers who downloaded Red Bull Air Race – 2, the mobile game, fought it out over the virtual waters of the Kazanka River as they tried to claim some fantastic prizes.

Russian virtual pilot RFO took the win in fine style, beating more than 1,100 other pilots. RFO has been looking to take this win for a while. They finished third in Chiba, second in Budapest and have now claimed a spot at the season finale, and a chance to win a G-flight with a Red Bull Air Race pilot.

RFO finished the Kazan track with a time of 34.726s. Closest to catching the Russian was PlayinPilot, from Germany, who crossed the Start/Finish Gate just 0.0783s behind. Third place went to Austrian pilot Manuel F, with a time of 35.010s.

Winners of each round of the Virtual World Championship will be invited to the season finale to see who will be crowned the 2017 champion. If you think you've got what it takes then download Red Bull Air Race – 2 and get training, the Porto round will be here before you know it.
