Red Bull Air Race pilots Matt Hall, Petr Kopfstein and Juan Velarde took in unique aerial views including some of Lower Austria's most famed sights ahead of this weekend's Red Bull Air Race debut in Wiener Neustadt.
Flying in their Edge 540 raceplanes, the pilots soared past the town of Dürnstein in the Wachau wine-growing region, the ruins of the 12th-century Aggstein Castle, the elegant Baroque architecture of Melk Abbey, and the stunning Stift Göttweig. They also had the chance to take in views over the city of Sankt Pölten and this weekend's race location; Wiener Neustadt. A special highlight of the journey was being joined by the Flying Bulls' twin-tailed P-38 Lightning, the only one in Europe, for an air-to-air photo shoot.
This weekend, Hall, Kopfstein and Velarde will be among the world-leading pilots who will race at Wiener Neustadt's historic airfield for the last European stop of the 2018 Red Bull Air Race World Championship. Don't miss it, get your tickets HERE.
