Matt Hall dominates ahead of Qualifying

Hall quickest in FP3

In the final session before this afternoon's Qualifying, Matt Hall showed his 13 rivals why he's the one at the top of the standings after he broke the track record in his Free Practice 3 run.

Hall was one of the last to fly. His time of 51.423s was uncatchable and the only pilot to come close to the time was Kirby Chambliss, who was 0.732s slower.

Matthias Dolderer was first into the track in FP3 and set a 53.28s run time. This was eventually good enough to see him third on the timesheet and was an early marker for the rest of the pilots.

Fourth on the timesheet was Mika Brageot and just behind him, François Le Vot, who has been getting stronger and stronger with every run since his modifications and addition of new team members. Behind Le Vot in sixth was Martin Sonka, whose time of 53.552s saw him 2.129s behind his championship rival Hall.

At the other end of the standings, Michael Goulian, who is currently second in the standings, couldn't produce a clean run and found himself bottom of the timesheet with a time of 55.058s, which included a two second penalty for flying too low in the gate.

Petr Kopfstein was in 13th and just above him was Ben Murphy, who also collected a two second penalty in his run.
World Champion Yoshihide Muroya, finished seventh in FP3, but will be fully focused on this afternoon's Qualifying.
