The Brit flew the perfect run to show he means business

Lamb leads in Lausitz

In the German sunshine Nigel Lamb showed he was back on form and ready to move up the leaderboard as he set the track record with a time of 53.110s in Qualifying and finished in first position.

Matt Hall, who has his eyes on the World Championship title was second on the timesheet, 1.303s behind Lamb, but making it an MXS-R dominated round.

Local hero and Championship leader, Matthias Dolderer, will be disappointed with his Qualifying runs. He struggled in front of his home fans and only posted a time of 55.470s, which saw him down in eighth position.

Martin Sonka has been quick in Free Practice and continued his form when he crossed the Start/Finish Gate in third place with a time of 54.623s.

Fellow Championship hunters Yoshihide Muroya and Hannes Arch both pushed hard and came in fourth and fifth respectively.

Chambliss, who is also looking to take the top spot from Matthias, couldn't post a time as fast as he would've liked and finished in 7th with a time of 55.444s. Peter Podlunsek and Nicolas Ivanoff finished bottom of the timesheet as neither of them were able to put in a clean run and both collected penalties.

The pilots will be reviewing their laps and working on their tactics before they go head-to-head in the Round of 14 tomorrow.
