Coleman beats the heat in Qualifying

The American goes quickest under the San Diego sun

Coleman in the track

Kevin Coleman is in the best shape for Race Day tomorrow after setting the fastest time in Qualifying. The American set a time of 1:09.905 in Qualifying which was enough to see him top the timesheet.

Current Challenger champion, Florian Bergér was looking to beat Coleman with his run, but he hit the pylon of the penultimate gate on his lap, resulting in a three second penalty and pushing him down to fourth on the timesheet.

Behind Coleman in second was Luke Czepiela, the Polish pilot was more than two seconds slower than Coleman, but he flew penalty free, which will give him a big boost going into tomorrow.

Baptiste Vignes, who is only in his second race, was third in Qualifying and will be brimming with confidence due to his performance.

Debutants Kenny Chiang and Daniel Genevey finished the session in fifth and sixth respectively.

The pilots will now be analysing their lines and checking their data to see if they can get any advantage for tomorrow's race.
