Dolderer unstoppable in Budapest

In a shortened Race Day schedule the German pilot claims the top spot

Dolderer wins in Budapest

Matthias Dolderer claimed his second win of the season in Budapest in some of the most difficult racing conditions the World Championship has ever seen.

Due to the unseasonable weather in Budapest the Race Day schedule was cut short and the Final 4 was not held, meaning that Dolderer's time of 58.653s, the fastest in the Round of 8, was enough to see him claim the win. Although he will think himself lucky after collecting four seconds worth of penalties in the Round of 14.

Matt Hall came in third when he beat Nicolas Ivanoff in his Round of 8 Heat. Kirby Chambliss was the fourth pilot to win his Heat in the Round of 8 and claimed a fourth place finish here in Budapest.

The pilots that lost in their Heats in the Round of 8 were scored according to their times and saw Yoshihide Muroya in fifth with Nigel Lamb, Nicolas Ivanoff and Juan Velarde below him.
