Matt Hall was the quickest out on the track in the final Free Practice session before Qualifying later today. The Australian pilot is back to his best and showing his intention to become the 2016 World Champion.
Hall raced through the track in 57.822s and was more than a second faster than Hannes Arch. The Austrian was second on the timesheet and posted a time of 59.049s with Michael Goulian finishing an impressive third, 2.670s behind leader Hall.
The technical track in Abu Dhabi is causing problems for some of the Master Class pilots. Martin Sonka, Juan Velarde, Nicolas Ivanoff, Yoshihide Muroya and former World Champion Nigel Lamb all failed to post a time due to collecting over-Gs.
Matthias Dolderer, who topped an earlier timesheet, could only manage fourth place in the final practice session with Pete McLeod and Kirby Chambliss behind him.
Peter Podlunsek finished in seventh, a strong position for the Master Class pilot. The other Master Class debutant Petr Kopfstein posted a time of 1:04.956, which included a two-second penalty for incorrect level through an Air Gate, but due to the other pilots flying over-Gs it was enough to place ninth.
Practice is now over and the battle for Qualifying begins! You can follow the action live today at 12:00 UTC here.
