2016 champ sets the fastest time before Race Day

Dolderer quickest in Qualifying

Matthias Dolderer once again took the top spot in Qualifying – making him the DHL Fastest Lap award winner for the second time – showing that he can still turn it on when it matters.

Dolderer was the third pilot into the track for Qualifying and posted a time of 50.614s which was good enough to top the timesheet. Martin Sonka came closest to Dolderer finishing just 0.262s behind and setting himself up for a Round of 14 heat against Nicolas Ivanoff.

François Le Vot, who has hit a rich vein of form, was third in Qualifying, setting a time of 51.010, just 0.396s away from Dolderer.

Home race hero Kirby Chambliss was fourth, with title contender Matt Hall in fifth. Hall's fifth place finish will see him face Pete McLeod in the first heat of tomorrow's Race Day.

World Championship leader Michael Goulian was once again down the timesheet finishing ninth overall with a 51.708s. His placement sees him up against Cristian Bolton.

Tomorrow we will crown a new World Champion. Goulian, Sonka and Hall all have a chance of winning. It will be a heart-pounding race and you can catch all the action live, right HERE. Don't miss seeing who will become the 2018 Red Bull Air Race World Champion.
