Virtual World Championship heats up

Round two of the VWC was as hot as the Master Class race

The Cannes track

Round two of the Virtual World Championship, held over the virtual waters of Cannes was as tight as it could get with seasoned pilot RFO of Russia taking the top spot and collecting 10 points in the championship.

The second race of the 2018 Virtual World Championship on Red Bull Air Race – 2, the mobile game, was a huge success with more than a thousand virtual pilots taking part in the first virtual race in France.

RFO won with an impressive time of 31.6665s, beating Austria's Werner Pany – the 2016 champion – by just 0.0492s and knocking him down to second.

Current Virtual World Champion, Manuel F, also of Austria, was third and collected six championship points to round off the podium. He will have to start winning soon if he's to retain his title.

2018 race winners will receive Merchandise from the Red Bull Air Race shop including jackets, caps, hoodies and T-shirts. The overall winner will be crowned the 2018 Virtual World Champion and win two weekend passes for hospitality, including flights and accommodation, to one Red Bull Air Race of his/her choice together with a real G- Flight (for one person) during the chosen Red Bull Air Race event held in 2019.
